= He offered me a ten rupee note.

d) One of his family members lives in Chennai.
= One of the members of his family lives in Chennai.

e) Tell me where is the post office.
= Tell me where the post office is.

f) I am going to school by bus everyday.
= I go to school by bus everyday.

               HSLC :- 2007

a) Oranges are good to be eaten.

b) The matter was informed to the police.
= The matter was reported to the police.
                             or
   The matter was informed of the police.

c) The train will leave in time.
= The train will leave on time.

d) You have less book than I have.
= You have fewer books than I have.

e) Do you repent for your misdeed ?
= Do you repent of your misdeed ?

f) You should not do such mistakes.
= You should not make such mistakes.

               HSLC :- 2008

a) I asked him how far was it to the nearest town.
= I asked him how far it was to the nearest town.

b) In her first book she describes about her childhood.
